Artist Bio
Alina wanted to become an artist ever since she was gifted a book called “How to understand art” at age of 16. She was truly captivated by the few reproductions of Leonardo Da Vinci, Mikelangelo and Boticelli in that book. After high school, she had studied architecture, practicing painting in her spare time. In 2023, she took the leap and fulfilled her long-time dream of studying realist art at Grand Central Atelier in NYC.
In her drawings and paintings Alina tries to capture the beauty and stillness of the world. Art for her is a chance to slow down and observe her subject deeply with curiosity and intensity. Alina loves looking for intricate light and shadows patterns, be it on a person’s face, in a landscape or a still life. She strives to convey the subject’s essence in her art.
Alina’s art can be found in private collections across Canada and United States. Her works can also be viewed at Victoria BC City hall.
